Spacious and versatile base for holiday in Iivantiira district in Kuhmo. Not located by the water, but rowing boat and trailer are in use. Peaceful place, suitable as a base for wilderness tourism and nature activities. 55 km to the north from Kuhmo, 55 km to the southeast from Hyrynsalmi municipality center. The main building of the farm, built in 1961, completely renewed and renovated. Living room with spreadable bed, bedroom with double bed, another bedroom with 2 separate beds, sauna, washroom/WC, separate WC and hall. Small covered porch. Yard sauna with sauna room and dressing room. The sauna is equipped with wood-burning sauna stove and water tank connected to the sauna stove. Tank is used for water heating. There is no electricity in the sauna. Water to the sauna must be brought by using a bucket from the house, distance 10 m. Nice old-style smoker, suitable for smoking meat. Fence and shelter for the dog. In the yard there are a cowshed, vehicle shed and free-range area for cattle. Those are rented to the cattle breeder, who goes daily to take care of the animals (cattle). There is Smart TV in the house, Netflix streaming service is pre-installed. Home theater system. 4G connection works well in the area. The owner makes a ski trail starting from the yard, length is about 3 km. Good and peaceful swimming beach 5 km (lake Särkkäjärvi). Backcountry Base is not on the beach, but guests have access to the rowing boat and the trailer. Trailer can be used to transfer the boat to a suitable lake. If necessary, the owner can make the transfer. Snowmobile Ski Doo Tundra Extreme 600 e-trek, ATV Honda 420 and motorboat 5 m and boat with Honda 50 hp outboard motor for rent. The boat will be rented with a driver. More information from the owner. Hunting: small game hunting area on state owned lands 5611 Hyrynsalmi-Ristijärvi starts at a distance of half a kilometer. Destination 5617 West Kuhmo is approximately 4 km away (www.eraluvat.fi). Fishing: Fishing spots at river Selkäjoki and Mikitänjoki are well reachable (e.g. trout plantings and permit automats). 5411 The Northern Ostrobothnia-Kainuu angling permit allows you to fish with a fly or lure on state owned state waters located in Northern Ostrobothnia and Kainuu (www.eraluvat.fi). The fisheries management fee allows you to fish with one rod and lure in lake and pond waters, but not in the rapids and streaming waters considered containing migratory fish (www.eraluvat.fi).
