Rustic chalet "Ancienne Bergerie", 1'900 m a.s.l., from the 17th century, renovated in 2015. 5 km from the centre of Valtournenche, 15 km from the centre of Breuil Cervinia, 25 km from the centre of Chatillon/Saint Vincent, in a secluded position on a slope. For shared use: property, terraced garden (not fenced), meadow. Motor access (150 m via unmade road). In Winter: please take snow chains. Parking at the house, in winter 200 m. Supermarket 5 km, restaurant 3.2 km, bar 1.6 km, bus stop "Valtournenche" 5 km, railway station "Chatillon" 25 km, indoor swimming pool 8 km. Golf course (18 hole) 15 km, gondola lift 7 km, slopes 3.5 km. Hiking paths: Alta Via n°1 della Valle d´Aosta 50 m. In winter, snow boots, backpack and winter sports clothing are recommended.

Location Description Valtournenche

The Valtournenche valley with the mighty pyramid of the Cervino (Matterhorn), is the most impressive and interesting valley of the Valle d'Aosta. From Chatillon it stretches 27 km northwards and finishes at Breuil-Cervinia at the foot of the Matterhorn. The village of Valtournenche is 9 km before Breuil-Cervinia. Bus service to Chatillon.>This is an original mountain village which has only been moderately developed into a holiday resort. Bars, discotheques and cosy restaurants offer entertainment and amusement. Both in summer and in winter, many events of touristic, sporting and cultural interest take place here: organ recitals, folklore events, Alpine choir, photo competitions, film shows.>.

Summer

Valtournenche can offer all sorts of things in summer: tennis courts, sport centre, cable cabin, lovely hikes. An excursion to the waterfall "Gouffres de Brusserailles" at an altitude of 1802 m is well worthwhile.>.

Winter

Because of its long ski runs which can guarantee snow and their connection with the skiing region of Cervinia, Valtournenche has now become a popular skiing resort. Particularly the good skier will find ideal conditions here with a total of 40 km of downhill runs which can be reached by cable cabin and 4 drag lifts. 2 cross country ski trails. 20 ski instructors for adults and children and for both downhill and cross country skiing.

Spectacular views, very quiet, very comfortable and cozy studio Pro: Breathtaking views of Cervino and all the valley’s mountains. Extremely quiet. Beautiful meadows and woods just outside the studio door. Easy access to great hiking trails. The studio is very well furbished and clean and we felt truly at home there. Leo is extremely helpful and kind. We look forward to going back next summer.

Had a great time in Valtournenche studio 2 cabin. Leo and Carla were amazing hosts. Cabin was amazing and only a 20 minute walk down to the town. Have recommended to all my family and friends, would definitely go again

Kleine aber feine Unterkunft wirklich mitten in den Bergen. Die Aussicht von der Location ist traumhaft und das absolute Highlight! Die Ausstattung ist rustikal, aber es ist alles nötige vorhanden inklusive einer funktionsfähigen Küche mit Kühlschrank. Kein WLAN, aber das war mehr Segen als erwartet! Perfekt um auch mit Hund zu kommen.
